What clients say about working with us

“Digital Bird is my first pick for delivering web projects on time, on budget and to the brief — every time.

Beyond being a delight to work with, Jonathan Bird is that rare breed of developer who is both masterful on the tools (an absolute Laravel whizz!) while also being adept at engaging the client in UX-thinking, to which he applies expert insights, gained through years of experience, to help further improve the end design for the target user’s experience.

This powerful combination of skills means that 4 years on and a variety of projects later (from search directories to corporate website developments), Digital Bird firmly remains my first pick for developer.”

“Digital Bird has had a huge influence on our business providing many solutions besides just a fantastic reliable website. Jonathan is great to work with and has a solution to every challenge. Jonathan also has the ability to “dumb it down” and provide timely advice and assistance if something goes astray. With Jonathan we have in excess of 99% uptime on all three websites.”

“Jonathan Bird is one of the best I have worked with in this space. He is responsive, clever and contributes to the brief, and most importantly, he is a great person to work with. It can be hard to find the right people who can take on something and lift it to another dimension. Jonathan does that and more.”

What we look at

A review of how the business actually runs.

We spend time with your staff, follow the work through each system and find where time, data and money leak out.

Review process

From the first visit to a plan you can act on

The scope is agreed up front, the time is spent with your team, and the result is a set of recommendations your organisation can act on in stages.
  1. Step 1: Scope

Agree the systems, teams and questions the review needs to cover, and who needs the findings.

  2. Step 2: On site

Work through each process end to end with the staff who run it, at your office or remotely.

  3. Step 3: Review the systems

Look at the website, ERP, CRM, integrations, spreadsheets, hosting and code behind those processes.

  4. Step 4: Recommend

Deliver written findings with options, likely costs and a prioritised plan, and walk leadership through them.

FAQ

Systems & Process Review FAQs

Common questions about reviewing your website, business systems and processes with our senior team.
Working sessions with the people who use the systems, a review of the website, platforms, integrations and hosting, and written findings with recommendations. The scope is agreed up front, so you know what will be looked at and what you will receive.
Yes. We come to your office in Brisbane, and work remotely with organisations elsewhere in Australia. For Impact Office Supplies, we spent a full 12-hour session on site learning the entire business process before making recommendations.
No. The recommendations are yours to act on with your internal team or another provider. If you want us to carry out the work, the context from the review carries straight into the project.
Yes. A review can look at where AI can reduce manual work, such as spreadsheets that pull data out of the ERP, repeated checks or reports built by hand. The recommendation only includes AI where it saves real time and the data behind it can be trusted.
It depends on the number of systems, teams and sites involved. A focused review of one website or workflow is smaller than a review across several departments. You get a clear scope and estimate before it starts.
Yes. Taking over existing platforms is a regular part of our work. A review covers code quality, hosting, dependencies, security updates and documentation, and tells you what it will take to keep the platform running safely.
Established organisations where the website or business systems carry real operational weight: enterprise, government, not-for-profit and businesses selling online. It suits teams that know something is not working and want an independent view before committing budget.

Know something is not working, but not what to change?
