Jonathan Bird
Project & Technical Lead
I'm Jonathan Bird, a full-time freelance website designer and developer based in sunny Brisbane, Australia. With more than a decade of commercial experience, I'm as excited about what I do as ever. Whilst I have a university degree in Information Technology (graduating with Distinction), I'm a firm believer in the power of self-teaching as it keeps me up to date with the latest trends and releases, enabling me to deliver proven solutions for my clients.
I specialise in developing quality websites, custom web applications, and eCommerce solutions that solve real-world problems. Servicing Enterprise customers, Federal and State Government Departments and Agencies, and Not-for-Profit organisations across Australia. I've worked across a number of different industries with organisations of every size, which has given me the knowledge to create quality solutions for my clients that scale. From the visible parts of a website to the technical business logic and database structure behind the scenes, I handle all aspects to ensure a seamless user experience.
However, it's not just about the technical side. I pride myself on providing clear communication and reliable collaboration. I've built long-lasting relationships with my clients with many ongoing projects spanning over 5 years, and I believe it's because I'm available when they need me and always keep them informed throughout the project.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with Australia's most prominent brands. These experiences have honed my ability to create scalable solutions while understanding the unique challenges they face. The result of which is a developer who has commercial experience leading the entire web development process: strategy, content, design, development and integration with external systems, crafting digital landscapes that stand the test of time.
